Operating systems are primary requirement of every computer system and its a base of all other application programs.
OPERATING SYSTEM - TYPES
1. Client Side Operating System: These types of operating system mostly used to perform different personal and business tasks.
Examples: Microsoft DOS, Window 98, Window XP, window 7, window 8

2. Server Side Operating System: These types of operating system store at server side and perform the complex task as compare of a client-side OS.

SINGLE USER OPERATING SYSTEM
These types of operating system allow only one user to work at one time.
Examples: Ms DOS, Window XP, window 7, etc.
MULTI-USER OPERATING SYSTEM

In these types of operating system multiple users can work simultaneously.

In these types of operating system a user can perform just single task.
