FORMULA BAR IN EXCEL
Define Name: This option is used to create a name for the selected number of cells and after defining a name, we can use it in different types of formula.
Create from Selection (Ctrl + Shift + F3): This option is used to automatically create names from the selected cells.
You can see in the below image that it show the four options.
1. Top row
2. Left column
3. Bottom row
4. Right column
So in the below example, "Top row" automatically selected just because, selection contains text (Age) in the first row.
Trace Precedence: This option is used indicate all values, which are included in the selected formula and by default its highlight the values by blue line and dots.
Trace Depended: This option is used to highlight all the values which are depended on another value.
Remove Arrows: This option is used to remove all arrows and remove arrows of trace precedent or arrows of trace dependent.
Show Formula (Ctrl + ‘): this option is used to show all already existing formulas.
Evaluate Formula: This option is used to evaluate selected formula by step by step.
Watch Window: This option is used to monitor the values of certain cells as changes are mode to the sheet.
The values are displayed in a separate window that remains visible, regardless of what area of the workbook is shown.
Calculation Options: Specify when formulas are calculated.
Note: By default any time you change a value that affects other values, the new values are calculated immediately.
